Trying to conceive is an emotional journey, particularly when things aren't happening as quickly or easily as you had hoped.
And sometimes, after months or years of trying, you're willing to explore anything that might help you feel a little more supported.
At Nourishlife Chinese Medicine, we work with women and couples at many different stages of their fertility journey. Some people are preparing for IVF, others are looking for support alongside medical treatment, and some simply want to explore a more natural approach to improving their overall wellbeing before trying to conceive.
A different way of looking at fertility
Chinese medicine has a long history of working with reproductive health. We look at the person as a whole — including current western diagnoses, investigations, past menstrual cycles, general wellbeing, stress, sleep, digestion. All of these things interact with your reproductive health.
Acupuncture and IVF
If you're going through IVF, you may be looking for more support within that process, and as someone who has been in this space for many years I am in a unique spot to be able to give you real support and advocacy in your with your IVF dr to make sure you are getting the service you are paying for.
We don't see Chinese medicine as a replacement for your fertility specialist or medical care, Acupuncture is usually incorporated around your IVF cycle, longside your existing treatment as part of a broader approach to looking after yourself during what can be a physically and emotionally demanding time.
